| As a guide the Level 2 home study will take around
80 hours to complete. This should be spread over a minimum of 8
weeks, although you may of course wish to take longer. When you
are choosing your attendance dates (your course code) please allow
for this. If you are at all unsure about how long it may take you
to complete the home study please feel free to contact the office
before booking. |
Q. "Will my qualification be recognised everywhere?" |
The O.C.R. (Oxford, Cambridge and RSA examination
board), is the UK's leading Qualification Awarding Body and the
Certificate in teaching Exercise and Fitness Awards have been approved
by the Q.C.A. (The Government Education umbrella) as a vocationally
related qualification in the National Framework of Qualifications.
Our qualifications also allow students if they wish, full membership
onto the Register of Exercise Professionals (REP's) at Level 2 or
Level 3. |
Q. "Is it compulsory to join REPs once qualified? |
No it isn't. REPs is a register, not a qualification.
What employers will ask you is about your qualifications and that
your provider was delivering quality courses. |
Q. "Will I get work after the course?" |
| |
To match the recent Government health and fitness awareness campaigns,
private and public fitness centers have increased their fitness
staffing and recruitment enormously in the last 2 years. Whereas
many other industries have been affected by the credit crunch employment
opportunities in the leisure and fitness industry have never been
better.
A recent survey carried out by Leisure Business, in association
with all of the major clubs, stated that "demand for qualified
instructors is at present far exceeding supply. As a result salaries
and benefits employers are offering has increased to meet this shortage."
|
"A recent report by the City and Guilds, Future
Earnings, found that Fitness Instructors could become some of the
highest earners in Britain, earning up to £80,000 a year by
2020 as the population spending on leisure and fitness increases."
Sunday Times.
So the short and long-term outlook for properly trained fitness
instructors with a recognisable qualification has never been better. |
Q. I'm not sure which course is best suited for
me, the Gym Instructor course or the Personal Training Course ? |
| Whichever course you decide to do you will have
a recognised qualification that will in all likelihood lead to employment
in the fitness industry . If you are fully committed to making the
world of fitness your career and are motivated by your own confidence
and abilities and are looking to maybe become self employed then
our Personal Training course
is the course you should enroll upon. If self employment is not
your goal then the Level2 Gym
Instructor will get you to interview stage but increasingly
employers are now asking for employees with the Level
3 Advanced Gym Instructor award.
|
Q. I am a qualified gym / ETM instructor but want
to do the ETM / gym instructor course. Do I have to re-sit the theory
paper and other parts of the course? |
If you already have a nationally recognised instructor
qualification then no, we can accredit you for that knowledge. Please
contact the head office a reduction in course fees may be offered. |
Q. "Do I have to be young and really fit to
be an instructor?" |
| Age and personal fitness really is of secondary
importance. What is important is that you have the commitment, enthusiasm
and the genuine desire to learn the skills required to instruct.
It is important to remember that some of the best and most successful
fitness instructors/ personal trainers are not always the youngest
or fittest but have a genuine passion for health and fitness and
are good communicators. |
Q. Do I need to bring a colleague with me on any
of the assessment days? |
Bodylogic do NOT require you to bring a colleague
on assessment. The other leading UK fitness industry training providers
insist you do have to bring a colleague with you... we think this
is unfair, costly and inconvenient to you!! |
Q. "Do you have any venues in the South? |
| No, however, many of our students come from there
as well as Scotland, Wales and even Europe!!! Our courses have been
specifically designed to minimise time spent attending a venue.
Many students find that although they can access a course closer
to their home, after considering the benefits of the Bodylogic home
study system, 2 days attendance, albeit in the North West far outweighs
the inconvenience of travelling to and attending a 6-8 weekend course
nearer to them!
We are happy to travel around the
UK or abroad to deliver training on site for corporate bookings. |
Can I book the L2 Gym and L3 Advanced Gym Instructor
courses at the same time? |
| Yes, of course. Simply book the L2 and L3 course
codes, once you have completed the L2 course you can commence the
L3 home study. |
And finally
"Why should I choose Bodylogic
Fitness Instructor Training?" |
| With Bodylogic you will not be pressurised by sale
people on commission to sell you courses that are inappropriate
for you!! All communication with Bodylogic will be with your tutors,
not admin/telesales people! You will be taught by people who have
excelled in the fitness industry at every level yet remain down
to earth.
Feedback questionnaires from students show that the main reasons
for choosing Bodylogic and returning for further fitness instructor
training courses include: "the convenience of your distance
learning format", "your friendly, honest and personal
approach", "the excellent home study materials",
"prompt response to course enquiries", the location and
accommodation assistance offered". More
student testimonials. |
