Deposit of £116 followed by 4 monthly payments of £116
OR just £550 if a one off payment is made. Credit card payments
will incur a 2% surcharge.

Who should do this course? |
|
| The Exercise to Music Instructor training
course is for people over 17 years of age (no upper age limit) who
wish to become a qualified group exercise to music instructor (aerobics).
No prior qualifications or instructing experience are required
but you must have reasonable literacy skills, 3 months experience
as a participant in music type classes and a reasonable quality
of movement.
You also need to have the self motivation to complete a predominantly
home study course.

The Exercise to Music qualification is an essential prerequisite/foundation
for all other music based classes such as Studio Cycling, Body Pump,
Body Combat, Step etc. |
Delivery Method |
Home study followed by 2 assessment days. The course requires
approximately 80 hours home study. We advise this to be spread over
a minimum of 8 weeks. You need to book your attendance days (course
dates) on enrolment. See below for course code dates. |

- Timing and Choreography
- Aerobic Class Structure (Warm Up, Aerobic - Section, Cool Down,
Muscle Strength and Endurance and Flexibility)
- Exercise safety considerations
- Teaching skills

- Verbal and visual cueing
- Music breakdown and usage
- Adapting your class for various fitness levels
- Basic nutrition
- Promotion of physical activity

Home Study Course Materials and Support |
- 130 page home study manual (approximately 70 hours
study time)
- 60 minute Exercise to Music Instructor DVD
- Phrasing and Cueing CD |
- Practice music CD
- Unlimited telephone and/ or email personal tutor support system
throughout the home study and assessment period |
All of these items are yours to keep and will be an invaluable
reference for you throughout your career in the fitness industry.

you attend a practice assessment day.
Your home study will thoroughly prepare you for this.
This day will fully prepare you for your final assessment on day

O.C.R Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Exercise and Fitness
in the context of Exercise to Music.
Successful completion of this qualification also allows access
onto Level 2 of R.E.P.S.
